若干10歳で一眼レフを手にしたことをきっかけに写真を撮り始め、写真と演劇について専門的に学ぶ。
学生時代に写真家・荒木経惟氏にファッションブランドのモデルとして抜擢され、モデル活動を開始。
その後、「ドラマ主演オーディション」でグランプリを受賞、女優・モデルとしてデビューする。
演出家・蜷川幸雄氏に師事。
自身が制作する写真作品や執筆作品も国内外の様々なメディアで取り上げられている。

"She began to take photographs at ten years of age when she got hold of a single-lens reflex camera,
and as a student she pursued specialist studies in photography and in theater.
At the same time, she modeled for many photographers, including Nobuyoshi Araki, and appeared in fashion magazines, commercials, etc., as well as making her debut as an actress in drama productions.
She is active not only in Japan, but also overseas, appearing as an actress and model on television, in books, and on the stage, while also continuing to produce works as a photographic artist and writer.
She has gained a high reputation worldwide for clear impression, mysterious presence like kaleidoscope, sensitive and unique sense. Interested also in plants and the environment, she has been a presenter on NHK TV programs
"Hobby Gardening for Beginners" and "International Roses and Gardening Show" and is accredited as an environmental specialist through ECO."
